I booked the Hexa last Friday with a cheque and got the receipt on Wednesday after following up with them.

Took ford finance option for loan. They provide 90% of Ex-Showrrom amount as loan. 8.4% is the interest rate and i opted for them. But they are not so fast in processing. :/ Was expecting an early delivery since they had the car already in their yard.
Now, the Pune RTO seems to be acting up due to the 500/1000 Rs Note issue. RTO apparently has stopped taking payments towards registration and would resume on Tuesday only it seems. :/ That delays my delivery by a week now. RTO also seems to be doing inspection at dealership. Expecting delivery in 2-3 days after payment to RTO.

It's mid November and 3.5 months have passed since I booked the car. Waited patiently. But in the last 30 days Indus Motors, Pattom Showroom, Trivandrum has pulled some very dirty tricks on me, including allotting the car meant for me to someone else because that person was willing to pay a higher booking amount.

Got Maruti involved, raised hell and today got confirmation from Maruti that my car will be reaching within 7days.

Will put up a detailed report of the experience with Indus after I get delivery. All this despite being a repeat customer within a year after buying my Ertiga from them last December.

Hi All,
I got a car allotted today, we are in november but I have allotted a car of August 2016,
Checked the VIN against the Team-BHP VIN decoding page, and the information provided by sales rep matched with information from decoding the VIN

Should i take this option or reject the allotted car ?
I remember being told that upto 3 month old cars are acceptable

Please advise as I will have to respond today with my feedback

A 3 months old car is totally acceptable IMO. But what car is it? Of course, no need to mention that TBHP PDI is a must before accepting the car.

it is i20 asta diesel, details given just above my post , ok as long as it is acceptable, I am good too, to be safe will goto yard and inspect the car once
During my i10 visit 3 years back, i was told they dont allow us to check interiors as the car keys are not with the person at the yard. I am not sure if i was just given a vague excuse, but at that time it made sense to me because the yard guy having car keys means he can open and steal any parts too.
let me goto yard today / tomorrow and check what they have to say this time

I am good man. Long time no see. Congratulations on the booking!

Are you sure about i20 Asta? just kidding.

Yes that was an excuse. Ideally, the SA is supposed to be with you, with the car keys and you have the right to inspect the car in and out. At max, you may not be able to drive around. If you are told to visit the yard on your own, ask the SA or someone from showroom to accompany you.
