Since you have driven the Mahindra Thar before, I would suggest the new Mahindra Thar petrol version. It will give you the 4x4 if required, is rugged and also not very big for the hills. The new 2020 Thar is more polished than the older version.

I am planning to buy Jazz CVT in the coming months. My hill driving is restricted to touristy places like Ooty and Kodai. How does a fully loaded Jazz CVT with only 110 N-m fare on steep climbs, both in motion and from standstill?
