"A Panoramic view of MG Road taken in 1964, Jayaprakash took multiple shots from various angles, and used Photoshop to put them together to make it one frame. Oriental Building, the non-existent Empire theatre and other landmarks are clearly visible in the frame."

Here are some old pictures of Madras.

- An old picture taken of the Original Spencers that stood there. Wide roads and fewer vehicles. Unruly traffic is not new to Madras (chennai), it appears : )

- A Shell petrol filling station! It appears that share autos are not new to Madras (Chennai) either.

- Madras (probably Mount road) with Tram, Horse and Bullocks (on the wrong side of the road). Breaking traffic rules does not seem to be new to Madras (Chennai) as well

The registration plate has "MC" which was in use for Madras.

Old Madras. Take a left at Spencers and toddle into the cool environs of the Connemara.
Beautiful city. Now made unbearable by the sheer force of numbers of people and vehicles and pollution...
