Re: Pedal Cars

Thanks Travancore. J40's bring back memories of the Raj and Post-Raj era. We are waiting to take photos of these in a Rose garden with a couple of Dalmatians.

Re: Pedal Cars

might be out of the topic, but do we have padel cars in india which can be used by kids? The market is full of battery operated cars but it is almost impossible to see any padel cars in shops...

I had a couple when I was a kid in the '70's. One was from the UK and another was bought in Spencer's Madras. One was a little car and the other was a jeep. Great little vehicles with working lights, horns and indicators etc. I used to tear about the garden in them those days!

When we grew up they were given away to the kids of the butler cook and ayah who used to look after us.

Re: Pedal Cars

Nice thread. I remember driving the Austin and something boxy that looked like the Mustang courtesy of a neighboring kid and a neighboring kid of a cousin

Was searching to see if these are available, but the online shops only have battery powered cars. Are any of those any good?

Okies here you go with the two pedal propelled car & scoot! I think that Scoot was sold out, have to check with him for the car.
That Lamby seems to be a KERALA registered one ... is it okay for you?

& seems that car doesn't have papers .
Thanks. Those pics (especially the scooter) brings back fond childhood memories of the "Traffic Park" in Ernakulam, Kerala which I used to frequent during summer holidays in the late 70's.
On my last trip to Cochin last year, was surprised to see that the park was still in existence.

That is a Lancia Lambda/DiLambda I guess - regular tourer bodystyle.

The picture has been for a while on EBay at a steep price, if someone is interested.

Re: Pedal Cars

Are the pedal cars available anywhere in India (Bangalore), I see a lot of battery operated cars, but not the pedal ones and hence the question.

Re: Pedal Cars

Bumping an old thread. Are there any pedal cars available in India now? I see some dealerships for Berg toys (one in Mumbai and one in Kochi), but they seem to be selling to theme parks and not to customers.

Anyone had bought pedal cars here, every shop stocks battery operated cars rather than this :-(.

Yes, they are available. But the ones available have a plastic body on a metal tubular frame. And the quality is not too great.

I have seen a few at Abad Cycles here in Trivandrum. So check out those cycles shops which sell kids cycles too.
