Most of us remember the Caltex toy tankers that were very popular. I still have remains of one from my childhood, but probably an Esso one. Now we know the Caltex ones were sold for Rs. 3.50

I had one that was almost 2 feet long with 10 or 12 wheels. . Think it was Caltex too. Must have been from 1945-65. How big is this one ?

Wow, I don't remember seeing such large ones. The one I still have fits in my palm.

This is the one I had, ca 1965. Definitely not from the 1950's as described.

Hello All,

Was cleaning up an old cupboard at home and found my Grandfather' old driving license.

It appears to have been issued in 1943.











I suppose we've come a long way from the above type of driving licenses to the 'Red Booklet' to the "Pink Printout" to the now Smart Card.

Don't know what the future beholds!

Hello everyone, i'm here after almost 2 years, its been a long time. Would have to catch up gradually over some period of time.
Here is a Tax Token issued on 15.05.1935 to a Studebaker bearing registration no TRI 1597. The period is from 01.05.1935 to 30.06.1936, strange as it should have been up to 30.04.1936. 14 months instead of 12 months.
I cannot really read the name of the place where this was stamped, TIRUPP****. The last 4 letters are unclear.
Hope you like. It is quite a good condition.
