Two Chevrolet "Specials" and a Vauxhall Hurlingham, belonging to Rustom K. Irani and Sarosh. They were presumably owners of the Sarosh Motor Works, Ahmednagar.

This is only the second Hurlingham I have seen. The ex-Tagore family car survives in good nick in Australia.

This is a picture taken by my brother-in-laws grandfather’s brother in 1950’s ( he was in Jhansi,UP at that time). According to my my friend Aditya Bose - he was fortunate to capture this young men during their expedition/over landing adventure

Beautiful, nostalgic photos!
Since the Austin has a Travancore-Cochin State (TCK) registration, the car photos are approximately 1949-1956.

On the tank we can only see 5 letters, H..........ARLEY the H is hidden. The tank has to be magnified a number of times, then something becomes readable and "ARLEY" can appear as ARIEL.

1948-9 Harley Davidson 45 WL, the year is based on the tank badge. ( I have a 1949 harley Davison identical to this). Fat tyres mean Civilian model, and possibly in the AA service to assist motorists. It almost looks like a three wheeler servicar from this angle. Great photo. Thanks
