In 1964 Pope Paul VI visited Mumbai for the Eucharistic Congress. He is seen here at Bombay’s Santa Cruz Airport, riding in a white Lincoln specially imported for him. A full police motorcade accompanied, courtesy the Traffic Control Branch of the Mumbai Police. The omniscient @deepakrao49 identifies the rider as one Inspector Mahabal. By a quirk of fate this 1956 Triumph Tiger 100 has been with us for years, but I had no idea of this connection. What are the odds!

From a 1970s Premier Automobiles journal - an early Fiat Tourer belonging to an officer of Dunlop India. The wheels seem to have been replaced, likely due to a tyre issue.

We have also seen this car in the 1968 and 1970 Statesman rallies. Wonder if it survives.
