Updating a very old post - but the more I look at the car I feel it is not a Chevy but more likely an Oldsmibile. Giveaway is the trunk ornament. I assume bodywise they were the same?
EDIT - I have been corrected, the 50/51 Chevys had the larger rear ornament, my mistake!
A Peugeot 403 went to Belgaum from Goa, and unfortunately scrapped in 1995.

A Standard Super 10 purchased for Rs. 2,500

A lovely shot of a 1951/52 Dodge.

More family pictures are being shared in times of quarantine :)

Couple of pictures from the Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra Satsang FB pages, the 1st one was shared earlier too

Chanced upon this image

A couple more facebook finds - An Austin A40 (kind of rare being a 2 door and an Amby dash)

Yes it's a 2-door and was known as Dorset, not Devon. Rarer of the two. A similar car was featured in another thread by Ram (Rao) many years ago if you can hunt it! :)
This is Delhi, 1945 or so. Visiting friends and family.
My grandmother, aunt and my mother with the Buick, all three of them learned to drive on this car!
Stayed in my grandfathers custody from brand new in 1938 to 1959 or so.
I do not anything about the "facts" stated here

Will check it out. The Car is still in Khoday's collection. Had seen it in early 2019 last.
These cars are maintained superbly by a team of dedicated team of mechanics and a wonderful leader - a legend of a racer on two wheels in his own time - and will tick over any day with the proverbial "half crank". That is the beauty of Khoday's collection. They have some of the most unique classics with them.
The other one last heard about was in Chennai and was seen in a Tamil/Malayalam movie a few years ago (seeing in movies in that era is never a good sign for the car)
Fastbacks are really something, looks doing 100 MPH, even when its parked :)
Best Regards & Drive Safe
