yes, its kind of strange, I will write to the photographer and hope he reverts back.

Meanwhile here is picture from Bombay, supposedly from 1965 when the movie Waqt released.

Hope these couple of pictures qualify for this thread. Pictures date back to 1970s, taken in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. As told to me, there was a mega electrification initiative from government to lay down electricity lines to far flung areas of Himachal Pradesh. As part of this effort, my loving father used to lead the caravan of trucks and jeeps carrying transformers, poles, wires, equipment etc. from Rampur Electricity division to places such as Peo, Kalpa, Pooh etc.

First picture is taken en-route to Peo, second one is of Peo town itself if I am not mistaken. My father is sitting on right side of truck's bonnet.

Got few more of such pictures but not available with me currently, will share sometime in future.

Austin A40 Devon with what seems to be an early series Mysore regn. (MY prefix).
Sent by a family friend on WhatsApp who was sent this by his brother in law. Could've been a car of his father in law's friend or relatives.

This pic. is from my late parents' wedding album, of an LHD Austin A40 Somerset convertible that I understand was hired as a 'baraat car' for my parents' wedding on 2nd June 1969 in Madras.
And coincidentally, happened to spot the same car tonight in a 1971 Telugu movie on youtube, pics. of which can be found in this post of mine:

You are probably right.

Meanwhile here is a picture from late 1940's, standing on the far right is Subedar Joginder Singh Sahnan, PVC (26 September 1921 – 23 October 1962).
