Yup, it is a 46/48 Fleetmaster. The front grille is the best way to tell which specific year, I dont know about other tell tale signs.

Here is a picture of evergreen hero of Malayalam film Prem Nazir.

Can someone identify what car is it?

It is probably a Peugeot 404.

Re: Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars

Discovered a couple of pics from circa. 1967, at London.

The gentleman with the Beetle is my uncle. Something of interest would be the intentional positioning of the front wheels of the Beetle.

The gentleman in the picture below is my father.

Can you folks please help identify the other vehicles in the pics?

Here are my educated guesses on the identities:

In the first picture:

Behind the Beetle - Mini; and Wolseley Hornet Mk 2 (shared body with Mini). Then a black Daimler (?)
On the other side of the street - Morris Minors & Mini Traveller; and a Ford Anglia in the distance.

The dark car in front could be a Peugoet or maybe an Austin Westminster A99 / A110.

In the second picture:

Car in front - Ford Anglia 105E; rather unlikely it is an Anglia Super 123E

The car at the rear is probably an Audi / Auto Union DKW. The strake from the rail lamp is characteristic of Opel though.

I think the second car (in the rear) is most likely a Vauxhall Victor of the early 1960s. There were similarities with Opels (Rekord) of course (mechanical as well as certain body design cues), since both were from GM stables.

I think you are right on, Prabal.

Seems to be a Vauxhall VX4/90 - a dual carb high performance version of the Victor. Also similar to the Canada-only Envoy per the web.

And the car closest to camera in the first photo is probably an A40 Mk II Farina from the mid 1960's (not an A90/110, as I had first thought)

Nice Minor - notice the accessory sunshade, badge, headlight covers. And to think that this Minor was probably standing next to this Austin back in the day waiting for registration at the RTO... with successive numbers.

Re: Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars

Austin PBR7064 that my parents had in 1957-59, model and year unknown. Shown here with my mother and also in the background with my father ( tall man extreme left)in Montgomery and Bahawalpur. Cars were difficult to get in those days. My father then bought a Ford Prefect and found it too small, was then given another permit for the purchase of a BMW 1600 two door LHD, which he did not want. He finally settled on a 1960 Ford Consul 1700 cc imported from England with East Pakistan plates EBH6 but never went to then East Pakistan. He sold it in 1984, having given faultless service.
