Wonderful photos, thanks a lot for sharing. Having lived in Goa between 2005-07, this is really a remembrance of time gone by.

Yep that's Daman airport, and the photo before that is Diu airport. The one after that is of Mormugão.

In the photo of the Daman Airport there is a Jeep a motorcycle a car and a jeep. Here's another pic from the other side which shows the rear of the car.

That OM truck evoked memories.
The was a construction firm with a name something like GS Khanna which did work on Nepean Sea Road, reclaiming land where the bridge is now located. Something went wrong and Mr. Khanna's assets were frozen, multiple trucks kept in a compound along with an early 1960's Chevy and a Vanguard, guarded by a watchman and police. The trucks were all purchased from Goa, Chevrolets of 1959, OM trucks, Studebaker, Isuzu etc. When they ran around they were so very battered that some had lost their roof, others their doors. And then all was left to rot and eventually scrapped. There was a huge crane which was taken away, as were the cars and road rollers.
While the work was going on, there was enough place to play for kids from surrounding buildings. Mr. Y.P. Trivedi lived nearby and arranged for a road roller to flatten a cricket pitch for us, and we also had a football field. Then we grew up and subsequently Priyadarshini park was built up at this place.

Cheers harit

Re: Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars

I made a trip back home, and dig up some old albums. My dad use to travel a lot and hence he has a lot of travel photos( mostly people). Here I found two to the photos which consists of vehicle.

Here is the first photo, Taken when Dad and his friends went for a trip in Orissa, now Odisha: The second bus looks like a TMB.

There is a car, almost like a dot in the photo. what car is that?

The second photo is in Delhi, With lot of American muscles and a Willys station wagon in some distance. However what car is right in the front?

That's a 1966/68 (?) Fiat 1100 R, global successor to our humble Padmini. India had quite a few of these imports.
