Didn't 'Safex' come on the 103 body too? Both as OE and replacement?
Those local replacement glasses (were they OE too ?) were made by ATULTUFF. I can confirm this as I have a few window glasses of Fiat/PP lying around with "Atultuff" stamped.

Hope this clears the confusion.

Oops, that 'Atulfuf' by me was a typo - when I meant to write 'Atultuf'! Hadn't imbibed any coconut milk yet, hence the Shahid Kapoor-esque speak (from 'Kameena', was it?)!

Edit:
And yes, it's Atultuff in fact, to be precise as samsag12 confirms.

I've searched high & low, and failed to get them. Getting rare...them!

However, as a stopgap measure, I've been using JK Tornadoes, on my 1972 1100D.

Ride quality has become a bit firmer though. Handling feels better, firmer, more predictable now. Somewhat worth it, since handling has improved.(Somewhat). However, the difference is noticeable & perciveable. Still hunting for 5.20/14.

Try asking in MRF shops, and also, try eBay. Something shall come up, I'm sure, as Shyam got some pretty rare tyres for this Herald, off eBay.

Cheers!

eBay UK or Italy . You could fetch it through an acquaintance, perhaps.

Cheers

Probable Resource for Carburettors

I got a Replica Amal Carburettor for my 1955 AJS Twin from the following:

http://www.burlen.co.uk

Service and shipment (to Dubai) was very prompt. I believe they do deliver in India and other places as well

Quote (from their website):

Over the years Burlen has become renowned for its role in manufacturing, restoring and re-introducing a number of famous classic vehicle fuel systems and associated spares including SU, Amal, Zenith, Stromberg and Solex. Burlen continues to supply this service to vintage and classic car and motorcycle owners accross the globe

Hopefully a useful link for restorers

Best Regards & Drive/Ride safe

MRF tires can be sourced directly from the MRF Factory. Recently some of the Chennai guys got a set of 4 tires for 10k. All you need to do is contact MRF through mail. Let me know if you need them.
