Re: Vintage & Classic car parts info

If you're looking for Suzuki SS80 parts, there's a facebook group:

https://www.facebook.com/suzukiss80?fref=ts

The person who runs the page, Anvino sources parts from all over the world.

Hoping this helps.

Regards.

Hi

Can anyone identify to which Fiat model does this steering wheel belong to. It is an OE & NOS item that i bought from ebay USA for my 1955 Fiat Millecento. When I received the item I found it to be of another model. Actually its for sale if anyone interested you can PM me. I also have a new front windscreen glass for classic fiats including a rear windscreen aluminium beading.

Anybody interested in these spares please PM me or call me on 09994078668.

I have posted the pictures of the item.

Will a Padmini Tank float work for your car ? If yes I can inquire about it here.

BTW is your old tank float unit 'Vegilia' make.

Hi Samsag

Thankyou so much for your response. Regarding the padmini float, they are easily available here in coimbatore. Actually I am looking for the original one.
Am not very sure of the make as its all rusted and stained. Will clean it up this weekend and let you know.

Thanks & regards

Firstly, I think that the steering wheel belongs to Elegants, as they had steering wheels of a very similar colour, i.e light grey.

Selects, SuperSelects & Delights had steering wheels in black.

Regards to the windscreen and beadings, do you have ones, which will fit later Delights?

It should be, as a tank float is not a frequently changed component.

BTW, did later Delights and Padminis share the same tank floats?

Cheers!

Dear Doctor,

first of all congrats on your beautiful Fiat, she looks amazing in metallic red.

Your tank fuel gage is not original veglia make. the original ones had sensing and delivery in one unit. Where as PAL ones were having fuel delivery separate of sensing unit. Also original ones had a wire mesh at the fuel intake pipe.

you can do two things - use a replacement PAL make or search for original. I got mine from Mubarak Meter works Bangalore at 1700 bucks some 1.5 ~ 2 years ago. The contact of Mubarak meter works is in forum, please contact them, they might have it. Else search ebay.

Coming to front windshield glass, it is stamped glasurit, then I am interested. If not then we get replacement easily.

Hi manish

Thanks for the compliment. Will find out from Mubarak meters regarding the float and I'm not sure of the make of the glass. I will check it out and let you know.

I hope you mean "Securit." Glasurit is a paint manufacturer. Alutuf is the local replacement glass. Tough to find both nowdays.

Yes, Securit it should be, Amol. And the local replacement was probably called 'Atulfuf' or 'Atultuff' - made by Atul Industries, Faridabad who also custom-made glasses for individual orders till recently; they were a boon for many car owners with difficult-to-come-by-spares-for vehicles here in the past. Didn't 'Safex' come on the 103 body too? Both as OE and replacement?
