Hi Deutscheafrikar,

I recently acquired a morris minor 1952, you can read more about it here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/post-w...ion-dream.html

Do please let me know if you have any spares that you would like to dispose off. It would be very helpful, as of now i am doing some reading and am slowly dismantling the car little by little, i hope to have a lot more time in the future to do up this car myself or if i am unable to do so, then get it done .

regards,

Srinand.

Afraid, I do not have the carb you require.

Thank you for your advice, I shall certainly be careful in dealing with such buyers.

You can still find many of these vehicles in rural Maharashtra though they have been desielised.
If the engine is for sale I am interested to take it
Hanseat was using the DKW designed engine, it is an original DKW design

It may well be a DKW, engine but I am certain due to the gear shift mounting and the final drive sprocket that it comes from a Hanseat. The engines were imported as parts [fully knocked down kits] and assembled here in India itself.

If I were to hazard a guess I'd say most probably a Rootes group vehicle.
The bumper guards look a lot like those used on Hillman Imp / Minx / super Minx in the late 60s.
However, all Rootes bumper guards that I have seen have a flatter rubber impact strip. This one is more bulbous much like the one that came on MGBs.
So I'm not a hundred percent sure.
