Re: Vintage & Classic car parts info

I picked up a new Piston/cylinder bore kit for my lambretta LI today . The person selling it has 3 more with him . It will fit a Lambretta Li / Lamby / Polo and the vijai super series. If any bhpian requires the same pls call at 93070 16909 (Rahil )

Regards

Salman

Salman, please note that a Vijai bore will most likely not fit a Li Lambretta one. I can say that from my personal experience- when I restored my '60 Li, the mechanic doing the engine got me a brand new bore, which I went for out of sheer enthusiasm. It later had a number of problems such as air escaping during firing up. Even after he changed the packing etc.

It was later discovered to be a Vijai bore! I luckily got a good used original bore.

Well i had restored another li last year and fitted the same bore , it is working fine as on date , it could be something to do with a particular brand that you might have used .

Re: Vintage & Classic car parts info

@jubin: try Annunci per Ricambi e Accessori in tutta Italia. (ITALIAN)
In COSA?: put your car model ('1956 millecento' or only 'millecento') & you will get list of parts available.
I'm in process of collecting spares for my 1956 millecento; so as to start restoration soon, Bhpian INVINCI (Qamar) had given me this lead.
It works. I have already got original steering wheel & one "millecento" badge from here.

Hi Jubin, great to hear about your car - looking forward to seeing her !
Make a visit to chor bazaar. Some months back, tail light lenses for '53 were available. You may get a pair if you're lucky..
