Guys, need help on getting hold of a Morris Minor chassis. An old banger has been acquired for restoration and the choice on the finished product all depends if i get hold of original parts.

Hey arun, welcome back (or should you say that to me??!! )

Sorry for my sparse appearances, but I'm not the same anymore -its called corporate life I guess! :(

Anyways, for your query- I seriously doubt the availability of a MM chassis! In fact if I'm not mistaken the MM didnt come with a separate frame unlike the Herald.

Also what exactly is wrong with your car's chassis?? Is it gone too bad to fix? How about some pics. here, so some experts could guide you in the resto?

Also is the old banger you got the blue "APU" one from W.Marredpally, Sec'bad?? I was told it was owned by a lawyer, an old lady and it was for sale. 'last I saw it a few weeks ago, twas parked at the same spot by the roadside, where I've been seeing it since years...alongwith a black Standard Super 10 owned by another family in the same lane.

Hillman meters set with the panel

Wolsely Meters with complete Lucas switches( w/o knobs) dunno the model of wolsely

The Smiths clock missing in this set is there at some other pic,is yet to follow

Oil pressure gauge..a close up

Steering wheel 16" diameter, IVORY color, internal bore is taper fitment type with 3mm key way, taper bore size majo dia 22mm - min dia 19mm.

FIAT millicento Steering wheel ( as is where... knurling good, it is tough)

Believe it...in this condition, without even screwing the steering column nut, I fitted in my FIAT & drove it nearly20 kms( City riding..)

Steering wheel ( unknown - steering wheel dia just 12")

Fitment type taper bore- size-unknown!!

set- 3

Plenty of rear end " metal clad Oilseals of mostly American cars, which can't be used now, since naturally the rubber would have lost its sealing properties
any way, any body interested in "Made in England " OR "Made in USA", can have look at it

LUCAS- made in England switches ( think belongs to some light commercial vehicles..

Note few Contact breakers( points) of Benz cars...may be of 210 SE, etc..

Morris minor post lock, door outer embellish & stuff
Except the post lock, all others are brass, so guess they are fabricated ones.

@ All senior friends: Why don't you people, comment about the parts like lenses, distributor caps etc., ...so that it will be like guiding the budding enthusiasts in identifying certain " IF & BUT" parts
