Why don't you post a pic of the whole car? I'm sure that will be easier to identify!

Cheers harit
The car is in safe hands and last heard it was being restored. The owner will spring a surprise with this one at some future rally in a metropolis.

I was interested in the engine only if the car was ment to be scrapped, I am Happy even if someone wants to keep the car alive if not restore it at this moment.

The situation is similar to my car it hasn't been moved from its parking for nearly a decade. The crome bits and glass were removed for bodywork. but the work didnt start. It has survived the gujriwalls & car modifiying mechanics who knocked on my door since that time. God willing it will come to life soon.
It had most of the original cosmetics & dash. The rest few items i have aquired now, except for the engine & gearbox.

In that sense the nova is more original than my car so it certainly deserves a better fate.

Here are the pics of the car:

Well, looks like a replica mini moke. Built on a Herald chassis and mechanicals, that's certainly a Herald/Standard 10 engine (and so definitely 4 cyl., not 3) and seemingly thefront suspension as well!

Number 1 I suppose is a scooter/bike taillight from an Italian Aprillia bike.

Number 3 is the brake light portion of the tail light unit of an Amby Mk 1 and some Mk 2s. They were also used on some other British cars of the period.

Number 6 is a tail light lens from an English car like my Standard Super 10. Perhaps it is a local replica if it is plastic and without markings. The originals would be glass, Lucas Made in England.

Can somebody quote the price to be paid for the Bonnet flute of the Fiat 1100 Select. The foot long chrome strip which is fitted just above the fiat badge on the middle of bonnet. I came to know of this part through a scrapper who states that he has it. So thought of asking fellow members before quoting any price.

He he- Sagar, the price actually depends on the buyer's and seller's urgency. I bought one for Rs. 150/- 2 years back, WITH the monogram, and one for 250/- recently - JUST the flute mind you, no monogram at it's end.

Thanks Ravi bhai for the approx cost of the flute. Yeah these guys sometimes charge so much for a rare part that we have to bear the loss of paying a premium. Here he is asking for 300 but i guess negotiation of 50 Rs is the max thats possible. Also he's stating a whopping 120Rs for the bonnet monogram. Should i go ahead and buy the said parts or just scrap the idea.

This Aprilia tail light assembly was bought new (still unused) 18-20 Years back from a very old spares dealer in Belgaum so I guessed this would have been for a commonly used vehicle.

Hey, I would say negotiate as much as you can, use all your skills, but do pick it up. These things are getting rarer and rarer, and you never know when you can use it.
I bought the same, though I don't own a select as yet. One can always live on hope..

Hopefully will collect the select parts today. I think will have to pay a premium price for them. Though the said parts are of no use to me, i might sell the same to the one in need.
