What a great collection!

Congratulations on a great beginning of a magnificent collection! Thanks for sharing it with all of us.

I am Toronto based and winter in Calcutta. Love Bengal but wish my wife, Bengali, had come from your part of India. We did a tour about 12 years back and I hope that this coming fall when we return we can spend a few weeks there, the architecture is the finest to be seen anywhere.

The Ford Model B pickup is a sweety and one that I think is rather rare. As you are starting to finish restoring it, I might suggest you join one of the N.A. Ford Clubs and am sure you will find all kind of support.

I look forward to checking out your thread when I return to Toronto.

John

Thanks Karl Benz and sat for the lovely pictures. The majestic buildings in the background make the beauties even more glamorous in their natural ambiance.

Well "Sat" has done a masterful job with his camera and Maisto 1/18 scale model! Legend has it that this is a model / true representation of the Holkar (Indore) 540K.

The RJ21 CA is relatively new series. I wonder what was its original number.

Lol. well done travancore. The jodhpur heritage car club gave away scale models as prizes. I took this photo at the majestic & impressive chokeleo bagh (a rajput styled garden at Meherangarh fort, Jodhpur before the award ceremony were given away. Have several images from the rally to upload, will do so on a new thread once the computer starts behaving..

This rare 1926 Willys Knight apparently came originally from Khimsar, and is now with the Titus collection

HEY CARLOS,

THIS CAR BELONGED TO MY GREAT GRAND FATHER AND HE USED IT AS A SHIKAR CAR.

MR GIDWANI BOUGHT IT FROM BIKANER ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. I WAS TOO BUSY GETTING MY MARK 2 AND HE BEAT ME TO IT. HE WAS NOT AWARE OF THE FACT THAT IT WAS A KHIMSAR CAR TILL I INFORMED HIM.

MY GREAT GRANDFATHER HAD INSTALLED 2 GREBEL SPOTLIGHTS (one of which was removed by mr gidwani during restoration) FOR RABBIT HUNTS.

I EVEN TRIED TO BUY IT FROM MR GIDWANI BUT IT WENT TO MR TITUS. :-(

MAYBE THIS AUTOMOBILE IS NOT DESTINED TO COME BACK TO KHIMSAR.

I'm sorry to hear that the car could not remain in your collection, being a family car. But the saving grace is that the car will be well looked after in its present home.

Would you have any old/period pictures of the car when she was with your family?
