This is a 1928 Studebaker President, one of the earliest Presidents manufactured. This car was oficially laundched in 1930 but this particular car was made in 1928 and was brought to india as a demo car. This car was in one of the showrooms in Calcutta and then was bought by a Royal family in Bengal. This car has been with them since. I had an oppertunity this time to see this car and also have a little ride in it. Didn't again manage to click pics of this car when i saw it but these are some pics of it when it was entered this year in Tolly car show. Any furthur info on this particular car would be appreciated.

Hehe, well Nash was an American automobile manufacturer in existence from 1916 to 1938. Long long dead.

Hi, suggest you check the date of Nashs demise, I think it was in production up to about 1957. Our next door neighbour had a big 1955 sedan that was quite nice. Nash & Hudson joined in 1954 to form American Motors Corporation, AMC.

You are right John

Nash was an independant producer under the Nash Motors banner from 1916 to 1938. In 38 they merged with Kelvinator and became Nash - Kelvinator Corp and then in 54 became a part of AMC

The last Nash was made in 1957 b AMC

A Full Classic Nash, 1934

Mr.Diljeet Titus has recently acquired a Vintage Nash, 1934, probably the only Full Classic Vintage Classic in the country. I had an opportunity of having a look at the car and I am sharing some photographs with all of you.

It is indeed a very fine looking car .....could you please share some history of it ??

There are pics on this forum of an exact similar car that was badly in need of restoration. Is this the same car ?

I am not too sure if this one is the same car that you are referring to, however, I shall get more details about the history of this car and share the same.

When I read questions about the identity of this car, I did some R&D.
This is indeed the Mumbai car, was lying for years in the Ta.... Garage. Purchased by a dealer cum restorer and taken to Indore, then sold on to the new owner. Seems to have been a quick job, so quick that I was not sure if this was the same car. Examined the photo closely, since Mr. Jatti is standing there we know that this car is not in a godown in some foreign county. And there is a VW Split to be seen under covers.

The origin of this car apparently was the State of Bhavnagar. Can someone confirm?

Cheers harit
