Maybe you would also like to tell us what makes this particular car so interesting. Share some tech specs and trivia with us.

There were a couple of Juvas in Hyderabad too apart from a bunch of R4, ex UN, and an interesting Caravelle.

The Juva and the Opal Kadett are very similar and one often gets confused as to which is which

Would that be this blue one:

Karl spotted it among many others in a private collection (someone else told me the owner lives in Jubilee hills)

Here are pics. of most of the other cars:

Shyam, this looks more like a Renault Caravelle to me. In any case, she isn't the ancient Juvaquattre for sure!

Yes Prabal, it IS a caravelle! And if you read wasif's post to which I'd posted my above reply, I showed this pic. because he mentioned "an interesting caravelle" (which I'd even outlined in BOLD! ) existing in Hyd. apart from the Juvas!
I reckon you're working too hard these days?!

Incidentally, suren181 had once posted pic.s of a Juva in Hyd. as well. A black one I recall. 'will try and find those pics. too....tomorrow or later! Sleep beckons now.

Oops, my bad! And, I've been working hard all my life. What to do, life is a toil for us less-fortunate!

Good night to you. I have to wait up for my boarding call! Tough...

This car belongs to a distant relation (Picture reattached). In fact I live behind his house. I believe the first owner was a prominent advocate/ barrister of old.

Ah, then you must be familiar with the other treasures in the basement. If you ask me, the owner is a treasure in himself.

Do try and get us pictures of his Austin.

I shall maintain a tactful silence . Lets just say that his passions for his cars is all consuming!

He has got two chummies and a third one that he is rebuilding for his son-in-law. Also, some interesting two wheelers scattered about the property. Will try to take some pictures one of these days.

The real jewels I think are the pair of cycle handlebar Vespas. State of preservation is remarkable.

There use to be Black 46 juvaquatre in Kolkata (WBH reg)...

Quote:
On a recent trip to NAGPUR, I saw a Renault 4, apparently lying for a long time, in a garage somewhere in the Civil lines area. Maybe Dr. Anjan can help ?
Was that somewhere near the IDBI bank at a small garage...

There was a blue Caravelle lying in a prominent workshop in central Delhi, along with some other exotics. Likely she's still resting there. But there are various disputes running at these places. I'll only venture there if my insurer agrees to enhance my life cover substantially!

See post 464, in
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/vintag...s-cars-31.html

Clearly an early Renault, badge is clearly visible. But in my old pics collection this is the only one so far. Maybe there were not too many in India.
