This was called an "Estate Wagon" either by Willys or mahindra, depending when it was made. It was a common issue for PWD / ministers/ Excecutive and Superintending Engineers/Goverment officers, etc.

Firey red 1959 Hillman Minx at Thrissur

A '46 Pontiac Streamliner in Quilon...... there were atleast 3 pontiacs in Quilon...and they've all dissappeared... anyone seen 'em please:

Is it a cream and maroon dual tone Chieftain ? there were two of those... Is it in original condition ? One of them was dieselised and the other was sold off in original condition, but that was 25 years ago...

Yes the cream and maroon combo coloured one. I have posted the snaps in the starting of this thread may be in page 2 or 3. It is very much in Thrissur.

Nice to see that car finally, I'd heard a lot about 'em as a kid, This one might be the diesel, there's another KLQ 2*** I've been looking for... you've posted a Studebaker as well this too I've heard lots about.. They're all L-Heads !!! clap:

Hey that a neat Ford Model A roadster, seems to have the engine too? Would be a nice restoration candidate. Thanks for the photos.

By the looks of the windscreen posts on the Model A its not just a roadster but a sports coupe 1930 / 31

Its Registered as a Ford 1930 with 24.03 BHP (KLT 736). As you said nice one for restoration.

Foby, where is this one ? I hope its with some serious collector or restorer and not with some one who hoarding it hopping to make a "kill" "some day"
