Going by the attire of the men in the bus, one can assume that it is definitely not from Tamilnadu or Kerala

Thats off the topic !
The group in particular is called rajah group with a brand name kajah they sells beedis, processed tea leaves, pain balms/oils and activated carbon under the brand name Kajah.
They also run charitry organisations, hospitals , Ayurvedic resorts , convention centers etc
Also they have fishing boats , courier service and fleet operations
KMPL (Kajah motors Pvt. Ltd.) made The MPV called Kazva before the toyota qualis rolled on Indian roads. They also made 4 wheeler LCV(almost similar to ace) before the Tata ace came to market. The LCV segment had a 3 wheeler with bigger size(almost size of an ace)
Now they had ventured in to a new segment of vehicles and it is named as Kajah creeper which was showcased in last Delhi auto expo.
Their vintage collection is so famous too.
Team kajah motorsports :- WINNERS - India Rally Championship 2012 in a subaru
Hope that helps !
Regards,
Foby

They made about 10 numbers of the ""KAZWA"' based on the RENAULT ESCAPE and looks like TATA ESTATE ,but I doubt it was ever sold to public.

This bus belongs to the SKV motors group which was a prominent private bus operator in Attingal a suburb of Trivandrum. These Chevrolet buses were in operation till 1979 or so.
Note the TCT registration which preceeded KLT.

It seems like this collection had undergone some changes since early 2012. This Caprice was a prized possession and i got a chance to start and rev this V8clap:, something that happens far and few for a soul like me. Got a video of that too.
The doors were so heavy that a merc's door felt like 800's when i opened one right after. Interiors were torn here and there but parts were well in place. Also the bumpers are fixed on shocks, than directly to the frame. |
For how much did this go?
Heard another Caprice was for sale in Kottayam around 2012, wonder if this is the same.

I have already mentioned the history of this Caprice in this thread itself, please go through it:)
Regarding the price it was first sold from Cochin in 2011 and then resold from near Kottayam in 2012 I had mentioned therein, but later edited due to ''objection'' from the last owner for
obvious reasons.

Yes me too, wanted to see the museum but it never went through though I had been passing through that road on several occasions. Now there is a reason to step in.

This picture is part of a collection of photographs from the Basel Mission / USC. A link is attached. The bus seems to belong to the Canara Conveyance Co. So the "Turkish" caption may be incorrect.
I also have a reference to Kanyakumari for the picture - don't know where I got that from!
You will see other interesting pictures here as well.
