This is an LHD car owned previously by Mr.Cherian(father of famous cardiorthoracic surgeon Cherian) and bought by the present owner a driver, in 2007 .It now has a diesel engine and the original automatic transmission was also changed. as can be seen ,the car is now in a pathetic condition.
The current owner claim its a POLARA , check out its printed and sticked on the front windscreen

Check out the snap of a beautiful Bug , not sure which place is this.

Is it a KLT registration one? I had seen that car in green colour while in college.
Sorry that car was seen just now in one of your earlier posts. Morris Monk. This was owned by Mr Narayanan.

First of all there is no car called ""MORRIS MONK''.It is Mini MOKE which was sold in some markets under the Morris and some in the AUSTIN badging.
The KLT car you are mentioning is still green and an original piece and is still with its owner (not Narayanan).Mr.Narayanan's car is the yellow one which was imported from ceylon 4-5years ago and it was sold to Dr.Selvaraj of Madras last year for a premium price of Rs.3.75 lakhs

The car shown here is a Kit car which is having a 800cc Suzuki engine and gear box(same as our maruti 800 engine) and was imported a few years ago by a BRITISHER and he could not get it registered in KERALA.so it remained a non runner in a small workshop in south Tamil Nadu.
This was available for sale for Rs.100000/-as per my info.
Anyway this being a kit car ,it cannot by any means of imagination ,be considered a classic.so would it not be better if such non classics is avoided in this thread.the best thread for it will be the MODIFICATION thread
by the way,Where is this car now? hope the present owner did not pay Rs.100000/- for it!!
