A nice find Foby. Must have been given there for the IIT students as a practical car. Its still in reasonably good condition externally it looks like.

Very similar to the "Decan Herald" Car of Bangalore so presume it is a 1947 model Fleet Master.

Hear that, this Dodge have been restored by engineering college students few years back. Sad that it's running on a matador diesel engine.

Oops! Missed the obvious. Perils of looking at pics on smartphone without specs :Frustrati (Still believe that age is just a number)

Also I was thrown off by a memory of another car I saw recently

Thanks Prem for the quick correction

Wow, that looks like a rare Invicta Black Prince. Only about sixteen were made (six drop head coupes). The ex-Mysore car is still around.

What an amazing find. Wonder what happened to this car.

A Invicta, wow!

The Ex-Mysore Invicta in Mumbai looks similar

Are you sure this is in India ? KLT is also a UK plate. The background of the picture does seem to be in Kerala

Vahan site shows that the number belongs to a FIAT - 1957 model. RC shows active so the FIAT car exists somewhere (?)

Attachment 2001856

KLT-919 as per my info is a fiat millicento .RC status active only means the car's registration number is still valid. it does not imply documents are current
