Julian that's the Khilwat or Darbar hall at Chowmahalla in Hyderabad. Picture is too small to see the details, but possibly its from Mahboob Ali Khan, sixth Nizam's time. Will try to enlarge and see details if possible

Awini is this the gyrocar?
The Wolseley Gyrocar

There is/was one in Delhi, I don't know where it is now, obviously not the same car. It shared the garage with the identity challenged supercharged Mercedes.

That car appears to be in original paint perhaps?

I had heard of a very immaculate 20s Lancia exported to Singapore in the 60s, regd BMX 5 or something like that.

I imagine this is the car with Vijay Mallya (even thought it might now be an MFA-XXX licence)

Yup, that appears to be the same car. Here she is in Bombay, 2007. Curious colour combination, I wonder if it was offered in period? We usually see them the other way around. I quite like it.

So rarely do bonnets get opened, the obsevation of the contents of which reveals so much more about the car as a whole.
Has it got an Isuzu engine? It looks very nice and should sound nice also.

Thanks Awini! The picture posted by Julian shows an ORM-381 licence plate.
Was "ORM" an Orissa-Mayurbhanj registration ? Read that Mayurbhanj is the largest district in Orissa. Thanks

Great find Julian. What is that large convertible outside Howrah Motor with the madman in front?

I noticed many cars have a BL something regn. What did this stand for, can someone shed light on this?

Julian, do send these lovely sepia toned images this way as well

It certainly looks like a RR from this angle

My first thought also, but the top of the radiator looks a bit too curved. The lights and hubcaps look a bit American to me.
