Did you know the 8 track was to first make an appearance in the Lear jet? The idea was rejected and then snapped up by Ford I think.

A 1936-39 MG SA Saloon in Delhi during the 80s, then it went to Bangalore, not sure where it is now. I heard it was seriously damaged while loading it on a truck with a crane.

Nice car !! The Ferrari belonged to a Italian gentleman Rossi. I think he had another one too. If I recall reading the cars were in Bombay, this one went out.

He had a couple of other Italian exotics as well like Alfas and a Lancia if I remember right. One of the Ferraris was terribly damaged in an accident and rebuilt beautifully by Mr Setna. I recall him telling me many stories on these cars. One of them involved he and Rossi rallying in an Alfa (I think), both smoking cigars with a couple of barrels of extra fuel in the back, the car turned turtle, but didn't catch fire.

The car is the Bombay car but i am not sure weather it is Dr.Rossi's or Mr.Dubash's car. Both had the 275 gtb and i do not know who had brought it first. Dr. Rossi's car was exported by his children after his demise, but the Dubash car is still here. I shall confirm on the registration number of which one this is. As far as i know and have heard is Dr.Rossi had only one Ferrari. Karl could you please confirm on this.

Yes Karl i think that is Setna uncles favourite story when he recalls his raceing days. I remember only Dr.Rossi as the man with the Ferrari, the others were less spoken about.

I have a copy of the Indian Auto Journal which carried an article on Mr. Rossi and his Ferraris. Will fish it out and confirm the reg of the car.

BTW is Dubash the gentleman who has that fabulous mansion atop the hill behind Breach Candy Hospital (I think that's the hospital close to Haji Ali?)

MRG 8922 I guess was the same car that was owned by Dr Cesare Rossi. It was also featured in the "Red Indians - Ferraris in India" article in Autocar India.

Speaking of Ferrari's here is a 1969 365 gtb 2+2. In the background is the Jaguar XK150. I found the pictures while digging up pictures of Dr.Rossi's car. I do not know where this car is but would like to know if anyone has a clue.
