Has this Silver Ghost "Mysore 45" been discussed before?
Sorry for the grainy image. This is a screen shot of a video taken in the 1950's of some Mysore cars. We are trying to digitize this old print and hopefully get a better output.
Thanks

It is a 1914 Silver Ghost, Chassis 57YB - a "Special Limousine" by Thrupp & Maberly.
Thanks for the pictures - a unique licence too. Usually it is "MYSORE-xx"

Interestingly I also have it written with registration number MYSORE 3. Does the car survive?

Yes they have been. As pointed out by Travancore in the Maharaja's thread.

These are indeed ex-Udaipur cars.
RR 20 H.P. "RJY-1186" is chassis # 64H9; fitted with hand controls and still in India. Now registered OR11G-1
RR 20 H.P. "RJY-3906" is Chassis # 42G0; now with John Fasal in England.

This was the 1912 Silver Ghost, Chassis 1958 - while a Trials Car in India. It eventually was sold to Patiala. Body by Holmes of Derby.
Pictures taken in 1997 of these Rolls Royce cars, which are in long term ownership. These are part of a large collection in Coimbatore.

Karl has shared that this is Chassis WTA60

Chassis GNS81 as per Karl
Thanks Karl for the info.
Cheers

#GNS81 is one of only three 20/25's that received a body by the Scottish coachbuilder A.C. Penman Ltd, delivered new in the UK in 1931.
I have found that a number of pre-war Rolls-Royce cars were imported into India on 23 November 2016. If the link works this shows the cars:
https://www.seair.co.in/rolls-royce-import-data.aspx
If the link does not work, the cars were imported from the USA (Chicago) into Tughlakabad - by air I think - under import note 87032391. The cars were:
Phantom III chassis 3CP30
Wraith chassis WEC29
Phantom II chassis 114GN
Phantom I chassis 73OR.
If anyone knows about the Phantom III in particular, let me kow as i have some very interesting information about chassi 3CP30.
Thanks

Not a 100% sure on how i feel about this. Is it good that they're not shy about using it rather then keeping her pretty? Or would you totally kill someone for dousing this car (and all its insides!) in colour?
I mean, i dont even have it in me to take my daily use car out during Holi.
The ex-Kotah RR PI (Chassis 23RC) is back to its original livery, after an eternity in hideous red.
