Mr Ananth

I remember my father participating in a major rally held pre 1972. He was in a white Midget with an englishman. They came 4th I think. Nasir Husain won that event in a Herald i think. Were you part of that rally?

What a great deal of excitement that rally had generated. I remember we had driven down in our Packard to Bombay to witness the final leg and close at some ground near Churchgate.

Do you remember this event?

Perhaps you are referring to the Tehran-Dhaka rally. Nazir drove a Triumph 13/60. I did not participate in it, bcos my sponsors did not have the budget

No Sir, this was an Indian rally. If I remember it was called an All India Rally. It mainly covered Maharashtra, Andhra and maybe Karnataka and TN

Dear Mr. Ananth,

It is wonderful to see such a nice collection of cars, specially your Essex & Austin very rare to find anywhere. Being myself also comes from family
who owns lot of vintage cars earlier. We used to have all models of Austins, one of Austin we have until 80's is 12/16hp big Austin, it was
consuming lot of petrol.

I would appreciate if you share your experience in acquiring these cars, write more about your cars and how you restore each one. I think every
cars has its own stories. I would love to see your collection whenever I
get chance to visit Madras, where is your location in Madras.

Best regards,
