Interesting to see the combo of the President & Millecento on the grille of the black fiat! Is this like Indo-western??

Also if your neighbour needs the lower-half piece of the Super select (pink car) grille, I have a couple of complete grilles I'm willing to part with.

This is what the original grille should look like (if its a '54/55 fiat):

Here are some more classics resting around bangalore.

This one's the Cedric, so neat but might reach the junk yard sometime soon.

The Parrot green beetle just lying around the owners place. Not seen it move since ages.

Hey pavan! what's the classic lying behind the cedric? Also, there's something wrong with the beetle, is it the round headlamp or the oval opening that's not original??

Thats a Wolseley. My grandfather used to drive a very similar car in Bombay.

The Beetle looks ok to me. There is a slight depression under the headlights anyways.

What i meant was the black round thinggy under the headlight. weren't they present on the older bug's which had the oval light?/ Never seen a round light bug with these things.

Thats an oval horn grille. It was certainly offered on later bugs as well.

Just dug out some archived pics. for this thread!

Here is a mk1 Herald thats been sitting in this garage for the last 2 years.

The owner is said to be reluctant in parting with it, as this was the first car he ever owned (now onws a M.van & some newer cars) & hence I couldnt pick it up (wanted it as a parts car last year- still do.)
The garage guy claims its got clear papers & said he himself is keen on picking it up eventually & making it into a convertible (turns out the owner owes him some money- 18k or so, which is not coming yet so he's in the process of taking the car away in lieu of the money)

Body is not in very great shape; infact he said that the left door is off on one hinge! Also the driver's door glass is broken thoroughly
The headlamp cowls are both kept on the rear seat though. I tried getting the horn button off (its from a Standard 10) but he told me to wait for a while until he acquired the car.

Sorry forgot to include the interior pic. (feeling really low thanks to the cold! ) - here it is. Dash is missing its veneer entirely but has all the original guages etc. on it.

Dear all - my comments - the front small lights are of the old M&M Jeep, they are not original. The ones on the black car are original in shape but may not be Italian. Of all the wheel rims I can see in the pictures, only the front right wheel rim of the pink car is original, all others are of the Premier Padmini. The bonnet monograms of both cars are original. The door handles of the pink car are good. The black car grille base is original, bt has 3 slats on it which are missing (the photograph which Stanher has posted to show the grille is of a Mysore registration car standing in Delhi for 15 years).

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

What is the second blue car? Looks like a Standard or Singer perhaps.

The ones on the black car are not original, they are from a 58-64 Fiat.
