Any Indian fans out there?

These two projects have taken up the last 2 years part time
1913 Indian 7HP (1000cc) single speed.

In my extremely spacious home workshop (don’t tell the landlord)

1916 Indian Powerplus (1000cc) 3 speed

Compared to European bikes I find US bikes became rather gross and were only suited to travelling in a straight line for a long time, the early ones are nice though.
Hi Julian,

I have never seen my sentiments about HDs et al being expressed so eloquently.

I just had to express my appreciation here.

Also I am an admirer of your work with Vintage Bikes.

Best Regards

re: Classic Motorcycles in India

Here are some bikes that had attended a great motorcyle-only event at Pune in 2002. Many entries had come all the way from Hyderabad.

Karlosdeville, how do you guys maintain such beauties. My uncle owns a Matchess 500 in Pondy. He told me to take the bike to Pune. The bike needs a lot of repair. Do you know any mech who services Brits in Pune???

Leepower,
There's Mr. Arun Mane on Tilak Road. Very senior man who knows his stuff. He handles a lot of Jawas and Yezdis, including mine, and has done a few classic BMWs very well indeed, so I'm sure he'd be more than capable with a Matchless. i think I've mentioned him to you before. Gimme a call if you need details.

Cheers
Rahul

Hi Rahul,
I've been to Mr. Mane's place several times. He is currently restoring a BMW single cylinder, i forgot the model name. But i think he mentioned once about restoring Norton / Matchless. Cant recall it now.

Yeah, thats an R26 I think. There's a BMW twin at the back too, real nice looking! Apparently feels like riding on a fat cow he says
