My friend Zozzy had bought a Sport Prinz from Goa from the old NSW dealer along with a huge lot of spares.

The NSU Wankel Spider on the other hand was the rotary engined car.

The body design is very similar to the Sport Prinz except that its a convertible

Oh! wiki has never been known for its reliability and I myself did not know anything about rotary engines until last night but I would still like to quote wiki here
"In 1964 NSU offered the world's first Wankel engined car: the Wankelspider. In development of the project, NSU built the Sport Prinz, with a 129 hp (96 kW) 995 cc (60.7 cu in) 2-rotor.[5] In the same year Prinz 1000 and derivatives like the TT and TT/S followed. As a family car the Typ 110 (later called 1200SC) was launched in 1965 with a more spacious body design. The last NSU cars with a conventional four-stroke engine had the air cooled OHC four cylinder engine in common."

Re: Vintage & Classic Car Collection in Goa

Check other sources too and any encyclopedias you might find on cars.

The Sport Prinz was NEVER a wankel

That reference to teh Sport Prinz as a Wankel on the link you provided is not correct.

I have hands on knowledge on this.

Check this link to the Spyder AND the spyder was a SINGLE rotor wankel

Hi, that is a Ford Taunus, model 17M (P3) built between 1960 to 1964. A few did come to India, and there was a stationwagon version too which had narrow slats as the tailights near the roof line.
This car has been pictured before in this forum lying in a building parking. Good to see it being worked on. This car had a nick name "Bathtub" as it resembles an inverted bathtub with some imagination.
Surprisingly Goans had more German than English cars before liberation.
BTW, the Nova appears to be a chop-top.

Cheers harit

When speaking about Ford Taunus, the year of manufacture is important because you had 17M from 1957 to 1971 in 5 basic generations. Many did come to India, more of the later generations which resembled the Ford Cortina closely. Early cars were rarer, as time went by there were more in the country. On Tbhp itself you would find some.

Re: Vintage & Classic Car Collection in Goa

Hey. I am intending to be in Goa next week (1st thru 5th of Sep) and would love some guidance on local garages focused on restoring vintages - maybe even those where a few projects may be available to purchase? Look forward to some guidance as per some of the earlier posts - seems to be an individual garage/mechanic owned market for sourcing vintage car restoration projects?

Did not find out the story about the Fords

The Traveller was being repainted

Not sure if the PAL should be on here, but I thought it was rare (ish)
Ford :
I believe I saw this same car on my way to Baga. It shares garage space with a Mahindra Classic. Unfortunately the car has lost its roof and has got some cheap wheelcaps.

Traveller :
The status of the Traveller last year - was being painted in a good shade of off white.

PAL :
The PAL still stands at the same place - at Mapusa Muincipal Market. It has lost its roof carrier. The interior has also been modified - it has only the front seats and the rear seats have been replaced by an aluminium flat bed. I think it is used as a Goods Carrier vehicle (which explains the absence of glass windows at the rear).

The VW Bus is missing from its roadside location. It may have been sold.
