Thanks a ton for posting this. This was one hell of a machine only if she had better brakes. By the way slightly off track. I started liking this bike cause this was redesigned by Gautam Sen and the red example was used in the eveready advt too. One day plan to have the bike reproduced with due consent -

Some old Enfield print adverts
A rare Castrol advertisement featuring an Ambassador Mark 3

I received this link as a WhatsApp share. I believe that the Mahindra Commander picture is the same one I had snapped from my book and shared here. They have cleverly cropped the TeamBHP watermark and used the same pic without mentioning any credits to the site. Sad.

Here is a brochure for Dodge trucks (badged Premier) dating to 1973. The cover has a sticker over that heading, probably deleting the Dodge name.

Karl, weren't they branded as "Fargo" prior to switch to Premier. I think the Dodge name was dropped much earlier, may be along with discontinuation of the assembly of Dodge cars by Premier. The trucks as far as I remember were named Fargo.

Actually the brandnames Dodge and Fargo were concurrently used by PAL till the mid 1960's for their truck range. The brandname Fargo was dropped by PAL by the mid 1960's, while the use of the brand Dodge continued till the early 1970's.
The Dodge Rocket was introduced in the late 1960's and was quite popular as Maharashtra Police vans. Their Full Forward Control truck model was introduced as PAL and not as Dodge or Fargo in the early 1970's.

Here is a real treat - three similar ads from 1955 for Dodge, Plymouth and Desoto
