The Red colored bus was amongst the first buses to serve BTS (Bangalore Transport Service). It has been restored to its original glory and has been placed for display right infront of the KSRTC HQ at Shantinagar. One can find it here even today. Earlier, it was placed at the entrance of KSRTC bus stand at majestic.

Not that old, however posting it.

The second Ashok Leyland bus was the intercity luxury design during the late 80's and 90's with the old design BMTC/KSTRC in the front.
Used now to ferry labourers at a neary by work site.

Found this old workhorse still doing its duty at Hirakud-Orissa.
Owner (A Sardarji with white free flowing beard) recalled many long travels on this truck. The truck has seen the entire N/E India and almost every coastal town on east coast. It has also been to Burma, Bhutan & Nepal.
He was shocked when I told him that I will be ready to buy this truck at any future date or whenever he decides to sell it off. Now just keeping my fingers crossed - till that time.

Imagine driving 12-14 hours a day in this cabin with steering almost brushing your chest.

Fiat is a name immediately associated with the black and yellow taxis of Bombay for over 50 years. But the association goes way back, and proudly approved by the Police Commissioner of Calcutta
