BWSSB Malleswaram Bangalore is to sell another circa 1980 classic commercial vehicle registered "CAW 242" , used as a water tanker , on 16-09-2014 by e-auction, with a reserve price of Rs 1,50,000/=. Their contact manager is Channanna C Puttamallappa , phone no 91-80-22945124

( but, do they attract such prices?)

I just learnt that the Dodge van MYB 9544 & Mark I ambassador car MER 359 are still unsold and for e-auction on EPROC website by 14-11-2014 . Contact the office Sri BMD Kumar 09480684069 for all details and clarifications , and participate therein within last date and pay EMD etc as per their policy.

Bombay Municipality, picture ca. 1930. The truck looks older, with solid tyres.

Maybe the "BOM-36" registration is a clue ?

A Bombay WWI ambulance, circa 1915.

Looks like a Siddeley Deasy or Renault. Hyland was a significant player in the India auto scene.
