Cheers
I was happy to see this car today. I used to see this car almost everyday parked in a building in Bandra. And one day it disappeared. I thought it was scrapped - but when I saw it today - I was glad it still exists.

The only thing that saddens me is that the car has been chopped and lost its originality. It has been converted into a hot rod with its roof chopped and a free flow exhaust. I don't know but I think that the car is owner by a famous garage on the santacruz danda road. If so, request you to please restore the car to its original state. Having seen some of the cars you have restored, I believe you can do an excellent job on this one too.

Wow! that pic I posted was almost 4 years ago. But recently I've seen this car from a distance though, never thought it was the same car. You mentioned earlier that it used to be a parked in a building nearr St. Andrew's college. Was it a shuttered garage and in the bldg opp the school on the road to Holy Family Hosp? Or is that another car?
By Santacruz Danda do you mean the Bandh rd?
Regards

Yes it was always in a shuttered garage opposite the ground. This used to be somewhere in the late 90s. Its the same car ... I clearly remember the number. And now it seems to have gone to a garage on Bandh road.

Yep it must be the same car , I remember having recognized it when I photographed it 4 years ago. It was in there till about a few years ago and I remember telling Harit about this car.
The painter must be Shyam lal Bhalla. Pity it got chopped it was a nice car to own. Looking at it in the closed garage I always thought they'd never sell

Wow this car gets around quite a bit! I saw it in Goa in January during India Bike week.

I really feel cars have a destiny too. Some cars remain protected for years (like this car) then in a moment of weakness they are sold and they turn into circus cars. Others are junk and restored to original condition. As they say in hindi " Naseeb ki Baat hai". But believe me this car looks horrible in person! The pictures are a lot better.
