Spotted a Standard Companion at a garage in Mysore. The car is supposed to be a petrol and has been stowed for quite a while now as the "water body" is unavailable. Hope it doesn't end up in the 'Rust in peace' thread! :(

Looks like quite a clean car with most of the stuff intact!

A mk1 Standard Herald for sale in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. Going by the way the rear seat's been propped up, it seems to have been in use as "baraat" car for hire! Needs a LOT of work atleast bodily as can be seen!
Hope the owner has retained the roof!

What is probably the same car, spotted yesterday in Calcutta.

I doubt it; the construction looks too refined! :D

Though not too commonly seen. But 'doubt any survive here today!

Where is this picture taken? I see it almost everyday but cannot recollect of any rust on the right side door. It is very well maintained.

If I am not mistaken Standard Pennat with registration no MDN xxxx is a vehicle registered in the state of Tamilnadu the erstwhile Madras state.
