30,000 to 70,000 for a Ford

A jeep winch was sold for Rs 1000 yesterday,

Here is something I was asked Rs 5,00,000 for, in Lucknow :

Hi vintageman,
The Boat jeep u are telling for 5 lacs is now for rs 10lacs , probably the next time we'll visit it will be 15 lacs, from the soures I have got to know that no one have ever quoted its rates to this extent ... most of the parts are missing such as Tyres Rims, etc etc

Carefull with any customised stretch car.
Such alterations are to be entered in the RC book. A stretch Sonata got into trouble in Mumbai, so did a modified Ford Icon. RTO will generally not entertain these changes.
And then, the car looks ugly.

Not to mention the stretched Honda Accord (Old Gen) owned by the dealer of Honda cars. The car got towed away by the authorities.

In any case, spoiling a classic like this and trying to sell it at a huge premium is what id call crazy.

A very nice example of a fairly early Isuzu here.

Hillram, this car would compliment your collection perfectly.

Found this in Bharat Automobile.com and the discription goes as...
This vehicle is in very fine shape. The original YS code 400 cu.in. engine and matching drive train perform excellent. The suspension is tight and responsive. There is a sure shifting Automatic transmission and special order His/Her Shifter. The Pearl White interior shows very little wear an is still a nice contrast to the exceptional Night Shade Green paint exterior. The dash is clean and lenses clear. The carpeting and interior trim is in fabulous shape. The windows opne and close effortlessly. The door locks work. The trunk is clean and is equipped whit spare, jack, turnk mat and fire extinguisher. Everyting functions as it should. I will replace the passenger vent window crank, driver door armrest pad and console door pad only only to enchace the interior condition. Contact +6285361048112

Wow! Looks like a 69 Pontiac GTO! Amazing find dude. Just for knowledge, how much is the seller asking for it?

Edit: Hey sorry, just checked Bharat Automobiles. The car is described as a 68, and the seller is asking 5 lacs for it.

One query though. As far as I know, the 400 cu in engine was made available sometime in 69. How does a 68 car have the same engine option? Any answers, experts?

I smell a rat. The picture doesn't look local, and 5 lakhs for a good GTO sounds very strange.

Karl, you're right. The pic is definitely not Asansol (Date palms dont grow in steel city) and probably not India. Adding my point about the engine, hope this doesnt turn out to be another Mustang/Bhopal goof (oops, did i spill something here?).

Would make an interesting check for authenticity, if someone else wishes to buy the car.

Well i just called the number. The car is in Indonesia and not India. I spoke to the owner who had an unpronounceable name

So the story ends here. I was hoping the car was in India but it looked more like Dubai with the palms.

Indonesia eh? So did he also tell you he has a junk Gullwing for sale? If so, he would ask you to deposit some amount via international fund transfer and then dissappear. Would've sent you pics of a scale model too
