Hi jaD, dunno about '52 morris 1000, but my morris 1000 of 1953 has an OHV Engine ( am very sure, this is the original engine of that car)
will post pics after completing the restoration work.
Sorry Mods!! "something off the topic"

in 1952 there was no morris 1000 (948 cc engine).
In 1952 it was OHV803 cc engine. These engines were sourced from AUSTIN have an "A" badging on it.because in that period AUSTIN was merged with MORRIS .
only in 1954 onward morris minor was fitted with 948cc engines and from 1962 1098 cc engines.

Thx V-16 By the way a dear friend has a W115 compact 220D the last year production car has all the orignal trim sadly he has not been able to tend to her so she has rusted badly as in the entire trunk has fallen to the floor, the rest seems ok but we reckon it will take a lifetime to fix her and after which it still may not be accurate so any leads on sourcing a new shell? We missed one opertunity to our pune friend who got the info but decided to buy it himself as he had one as well!!:(

Any lead on decent shells? We can even get an earlier shell and do the required bodywork to match a 76/77. Please help

pl let me know any beetle for sale desperately looking

[quote=V-16;1027277]Going by that price, my 62 Dart should be worth what 20lakhs?? I tell you these people have no incling about the market and just blurt out vague figures. Bah!!

Pavan, i spoke to the owner, (thanks for the numbers, sorry I should have thanked you much much earlier ) but the prices he wants for the cars had me wondering if he wanted to sell me one or a dozen. Like SPeedy I thanked him for speaking to me and told him id think it over.
Im negotiating for a VW fastback in superb condition for 1/4th the price he wanted for his beaten cars. All the best to him, its his ownership and so, decision and that i can and must respect.
Ill let you guys know when and if i get my fastback.
Just to keep you guys in the loop, prices for these classics have fallen deeply so please negotiate hard before buying. none of these cars (except rare ones) are selling for the absurd prices anymore.

I know of a beetle owner wanting 3.5, non negotiable, for his fair conditioned 1965 two months ago.

Amol didnt know you were interested in a woody. I was offered a supposedly mint car in the south (not Bangalore) for around 3.5 negotiable. I wasnt interested in that price. If you are ill ask for details and pics and if you are still interested, will negotiate too. I think anything around 2.0 for such a well kept car is worth it, considering no work has to be done.

I'm told about a '61 LAmbretta Li150 series2 (innocenti) for sale in Madras, with the following details-
It's a single-owner bike, original Madras (MSW) regn. complete, in the sence having all the correct/original body-panels, but no monograms etc. left.....and it's in a rundown condition. Papers all valid though.

I'm sorry I forgot to ask the price quoted (oops!), but if anyone's interested I can pm/email you the contact no. of the person who told me about it. You can contact him directly as I'm not making anything out of this deal.
