I have had a similar experience Amol. I was in Delhi for a few days and even there the exhorbidant price syndrome has taken a reversal. Wait for a few more monts i feel classics will be affordable again. Good.

Will upload all the pics in next few hours.

The 1969 VW Fastback TL Special with sun roof, padded dash board, remote fuel and dickey opening and high back seats. has a great 1600 twin carb engine which'll just start with one crank any time, and the car with papers

The other fast back is early's 1960's, neat and clean car without engine and papers.

VW Beetle is a complete restoration job with papers.

Dolphin is full ready car without steering column and seats.

Thank you for posting the pictures Pavan. could you please PM me the details of the owner so that i could have a word with him and probably have someone go down to meet him. Any idea of what the offers are for the Fastbacks.

Gogi bhai, Girishpv dont worry first preference is still yours. i shall try and stall the guy till you'll decide. if you dont like what you see then i can go ahead .

Girishpv BADE (big) SAAB,

i am younger than you, no saab and all.

ok shall go ahead after knowing Gogi Bhai's mind. Dont all of us have parallel deals going on, some click and some dont. so no harm in trying, u never know which one falls through and which one does not.

Aree yaar im interested in everything i see
No sweat Speedy. If the car/s rest in either of our garages, they will at least get a new life.
Pavan please PM the details and also an indication as to what price he wants for the Variants and the beetle. If he has a sensible offer, i will be glad to give a home to these otherwise junked beauties.
IMHO, the beetle should have scrap value w/o engine and drive-train. He should be paying me to take it off him and the worse Variant of the two should be given away as a parts car.
Will wait for your PM and advice.
Thanks

Crazy guys these.
There is a 62 Impala sedan in original paint and upholstery, LHD for sale in Mumbai. The price is less than one third of the price of the above Impala and it has not yet been sold. That should say that crazy prices do not prevail anymore.
