What exactly does a mint Kombi go for in India these days? Are the prices just as inflated as they are elsewhere?

I know of one which belonged to one of the leading restorers in the country; it went for around what you’ve been quoted but was truly immaculate

This VW bus was with Nirmala Hospital, Calicut till 2012. It was sold for as per my info, for below 2 lakhs to someone in Bangalore and was cosmetically restored by a former BHPIAN. This was then put up for sale on TBHP itself at 10 lakhs in 2014. It was bought by someone in North Kerala 2-3 years back.
The asking price is definitely highly ambitious considering that it is not a concours example. Note that the tail lamps is of later model.

Engine needs restoration, has another engine in it as of now... Was a project car and was planning to put a 2jzgte engine in it but have changed my mind and decided to sell it.

The Liftback was often called the "Japanese Mustang" or the "Mustang Celica."*It had fastback styling similarities to the 1968*Ford Mustang, as seen in the film*Bullitt, including C-pillar louvers and the vertical bar tail lights that are a signature Mustang styling cue and pay overall homages to the muscle-car era.

Yes it was one among those.There was a cream KLO registered car in Kottayam a few years back
