This is 1970 Ford Torino , which was a variant of Ford Fairlane. Some models of Fairlane could certainly qualify as a muscle car but not this particular one. This appears to be a base four door sedan with most likely a straight six or a base 289 or 302 engine .

Thanks to the classic car craze and zero cost ads via olx, most of the rusting imports in scrap yards are finding its way back to such dealers who want to make a quick buck!

The answer is simple - the Fiats, Ambys and Morris were made here, and in huge numbers. The Bugs were one off imports elsewhere, and locally distributed in Goa in realtively lesser numbers. No manufacture = lesser support of spares / servise / after sales.

This same car also participated in the recently held Jaipur's 16th Vintage & Classic Car Rally. The pic posted in OLX is from the exhibition event which was held a day before the Rally.

This is neither a Hudson nor Dodge. It is a postwar Pobeda. The other is a Russian copy of Jeep.

During 1950s & 60s, the days of extreme Indo-USSR friendship, these Volgas, Pobedas, Gaz and a few Zils were common site in New Delhi. These were hardy cars but not attractive and certainly no match for other European or American cars. Repairs and parts were difficult to get. One Pobeda was purchased by a local Congress
bigwig in Meerut and spent more time in the shop than on the road. Same person also invested in a Zil retired by the embassy (with no buyers). And disposed off rather
cheap.

I used to see this car in a state of disuse in an apartment of FC road in Pune. The same or adjacent building had a white Standard 2000.

This car was advertised till recently and costed Rs 1.5 lacs and was with a Sri Anmol of Gurgaon ! and was she a 1968 or 1969 year model ?

Its indeed maintained by me :) But the car is still

1) Unrestored
2) In Factory paint
3) With Factory wiring
4) Factory provided Henley spare wheel tire
5) Factory interiors ( front seats are re-upholstered )
6) Genuine 34,000 kms done till date

The car is extremely solid in the first place, with a little rusting and a rear RHS fender damage, while efforts are on to Re-store the car by March 14, we are expidating the spare list for the next 2 weeks. Might go off from the SALE TAG in a couple of weeks.
