this Fiat is probably one of the best maintained cars in Jaipur and immaculately restored.

Can someone please shed some light on the Fiat? A while back on another thread I had written about some of the cars that were in our family but all I had were sketchy details passed down from my grandfather (apart from the Rolls and Vauxhall which were tracked down solely due to help from several members).

A large and impressive Fiat tourer was also a part of the stable and this car seems to be along similar lines. So if someone knows the past history, I'd be very grateful for letting me know about it.

This car was bought by the present owner, Shama bhai some 20 odd years back,he took 15 years to restore it, before that it was with Mr. Barwara, who I think had bought it from Kolkatta, both from Jaipur .will find out more, do you know the year your family car might have been sold around?

Thanks for the info. Going by the general time period that the other cars were disposed of, I would think sometime during the 1960s, maybe a little earlier. I vaguely recall seeing photos on the forum of a similar car waiting to be rescued in Kolkata photographed in the 1970s.

He is a restorer and owns both the cars, the fiat was restored by his father who is a master upholster, one of the best in Jaipur.

The car behind the fiat in the picture is owned by someone else, this is a rally picture. The other car I think is a fiat .( behind the dodge )
