re: Classic Cars available for purchase

A friend of mine has an 1951 Morris Minor sedan for sale. The car is fully original, with valid documents, original registration number. A good car for first time collectors. PMS or e mail me for contact details of the seller.

re: Classic Cars available for purchase

I called this guy thinking that the asking price is 10k as i am planning to buy an Amby.

I was stunned to know that the price mentioned for a 1970 Amby is 10L

A 1977 (I think) Premier Padmini is offered for sale in Pune.

The car is in running condition, but obviously requires work, which reflects in the asking price. The owner does not wish to see the car scrapped, so please act accordingly.

For details please contact Ashwin Lulla on 09890014541 or ashlulla@hotmail.com

The last update I have got is that the sale has been cancelled. It seems that the Nawab of Junagadh's family objected, saying that these cars were donated, one cannot sell, and that they should be given to the Royal family of Bhavnagar. Strange, Junagadh family migrated to Pakistan during the partition, so their property becomes evacuee property under the custody of the Government of India. So how can they have any say? I understand that most of the amounts have been refunded. I am not 100% sure wether this is correct. Does anyone have further info? The Dukker Fiat cannot be Junagadh connected.

Maybe Saffronart will now auction them?

A new entrant to the car auction scene is some firm called Mogul Arts, colaba. Tweety bird says they are planning to lure owners to display their cars in the next few months, maybe even have a drive, and then talk to the owners about selling at their auction.

Nice plan to build a data base of cars/owners

re: Classic Cars available for purchase

I am looking for a Ambassador Mark I or II with decent body irrespective of it's engine condition (even without engine is fine - since I would like to replace it anyways) for a decent money (say 50 to 75k). Anyone has any idea about one preferably in south india?

You could get a good running petrol Mark2 (not Mark1) within that budget in South INDIA
