Hi sid, welcome to t-bhp! Pls be very careful before buying mini's here as a lot of cars were chopped up and brought down illegally. These cars will give u a lot of problems in the future. You can find out its details if u hunt around the forum a bit. They had TN regn Too.

Pls keep away from those i chopped , illegally imported cars. Many are still with DRI/Customs. These were welded back in Chennai garages. Not sure of the quality of these jobs

The 116 was an SD if I remember correctly, a 280SD.

If it was badged 280SD then its a fake. There was no 280 SD ever made in the W116 or any other chassis type. The only W116 Diesel was the W116 300SD made between 1978-1980 only for America and Canada and was always a LHD. This engine was an inline five cylinder and was also shared in the W123 300Turbo Diesel which was also only made for the American and Canadian market, thus being only a LHD also. Later, when the W126 was introduced, the engine was upgraded to an inline six 300SD.

Then my mistake perhaps. Must have been a 300SD. Sorry guruji.

The blue W115 is an early 73 200D.
Since it has quarter glass front windows. These windows were discontinued in 1973 when the 114/5 models got a face lift. Being a car as pointed out above, it should sport the earlier, flat rear lights and the bakelite steering wheel but if it is the early 73, the gig rear view mirrors and the padded steering wheel and the slated lights would be correct, just before they removed the quarter glass.
Good looking car in all. Hope the engines not been swapped.
P.S. the steering is ulta and there are non original switches and a non original gear shift lever. The upholstery is also custom and not original. Also one can see that there is an after market a/c added on.
Why, it even has a Cadillac emblem on the car. Two for the price of one kya??
