A nice car indeed with most of the originality in place. The design cues are typical of the Rootes Group hallmark looks of the 1950's, also resembling the Hillman Minx Phase III of the early 1950's and even its immediate successor "Phase IV" (with the signature Mark 3 kind of front grille). The Humber was a more upmarket brand of the Rootes Group that also had the Sunbeam and Talbot car and the Commer truck marques under its umbrella. The steering, gear lever and the horn button are also quite typical of the then Rootes Group designs. The above featured Minx featured for comparison is very original and even sports its original leather upholstery!clap: |
