Landmaster came with side valve engine . If it has that engine then that car is really buyable.

Not going into much details in this thread but the guy had contacted me a year or so ago saying that he got someone ready to pay him 1.3L for this car on the spot and so wanted to ask me if I was interested in picking it up @ 20k more! 'told him I wasnt.
Then he called me up a month or two ago regarding some spares for old fiats...asked him about this car and he said he still did. Not surprised that it hasnt been sold!
I dont want to dwell any further on this car as it makes me feel quite sad (again if you've read my posts above, you will understand!)

And incidentally, I'm no longer looking for such cars either. I'd even sold my Pennant and my Companion (the latter is in good hands now, with a fellow tbhpian and good friend, and getting restored)

Yes that's true, There are some vintage car keepers in that area, i know one of them is a dentist Dr.Philip, he had a Mercedes Benz W110 which I bought from him back in 2003, when he acquired a mint condition Mercedes Benz W111 (which he still has) and wanted more space.
I know he has a genuine beetle but I'm not sure if he would sell it because I know he took great effort and imported parts from the US and Germany to maintain its originally and quality .

i once saw this car standing at a garage few years back. Its a properly executed restoration. didnt look like any corners were cut. the car looked showroom fresh no matter where you looked.

I received quite a few replies from the seller, and the whole ad was staged and is indirectly linked to a t-bhpían and a known dealer in Bangalore.

Would love to remain unquoted on the whole thing, but hilarious to witness a car sold which never existed and never was sold.

Sir, the intentions are very very clear, by the so called dealers. Bring down the market for the VW's, ( presently VW market have dried up ) which in-turn will facilitate them in buying cars at lower rates.

As and when these so called dealers want to reliquish their possession, they will again inflate the prices. Just playing around with the market.

Actually the low priced beetle in no scam. I have the full pictures of the car. It was genuinely sold for a low price. The car was obviously not run for some time and in another few years would have gone into the ground. May be the owner did not pick up the demand for beetles. It does happen sometimes.
