frankly I dont know his real game plan.I know this car very well.He had quoted 75000 for this car initially but one great restorer (teambhpian) from Chennai called him and offered 80000/-(this is what the owner has been saying)Then some dealer from Coimbatore called him and asked why he is quoting so ''low''etc.This obviously got him to think that this is some ''valuable"' item and hence changed it to sort of ''bidding'' process.
He says it has been sold to someone from Trivandrum itself.

Yes, he told me that he had sold it to someone in Trivandrum only in order to get rid of the hassles in name change etc.. Anyway, it's over and if a dealer had purchased it, we can see soon this car again in the classifieds with an absurd asking price as usual!

This is regarding the Vanguard.I did send a mail asking for more details WITHOUT offering any price.The seller did not reply to my e mail. I dropped it at that.

Ouch!

even in the best of condition, a 1989 jaguar should be 2 lakhs not 20, they are highly unreliable cars that you can basically just use to doll up your driveway.
buy a mercedes 124 instead, at least you will be able to drive it.

Are you sure this is a Fiat 1100? It somehow has the tell-tale signs of a PREMIER PRESIDENT. Maybe our Fiatful friends can tell.

It indeed is a Premier President. Still has many original fittings intact. Seems like the engine area caught fire-result the burnt paint on hood. Hope it falls in good hands .
IIRC it was also posted in the TBHP Classified section few months back with an asking price of 50 Grands.
