2.5 lakhs!!! He had quoted 3.5L & I didn't had that kind of money but had about 2L.
Damn I was so conscious of calling him because I was short of funds. Had I known he would nego for 1 lakh less. I would have been the owner of that BLUE beauty. Damn I hate myself for NOT even calling him. Damn damn damn

Now don't repeat the mistake this time..call this guy and try to negotiate.

Actually, i used to quote a price to the owner and always ask him to inform me before he sell the car and i had indeed turned lucky a couple of times.

Thanx bro, I have started a restoratio project now so the priority of funds has shifted. Nevertheless the new owner is asking 5.5L, which is way above my budget.
But, will definately use your advice for the next time.

Here is an advertisement in the Team BHP classifieds regarding a 1956 Standard Vanguard for sale. The owner says the car has not been in use since 12 years and has road tax arrears to be paid.
The asking price is too reasonable and the car's trims are mostly intact as sen in pictures. It only needs some TLC.

A very nice Vanguard indeed! Very complete and original. Needs very little work. However, the pending tax arrears in this case are possibly the only complication if one were to buy this car even locally!

I called the owner on the 16th of November and the car was reportedly been sold for 120 K -A cool 45 K over what the owner was demanding!.Moreover, it was sold within 2 days from the date of Advt.

he told me it was sold for 1.1lakhs on 17th november and the car was taken away.But even today the car is still lying in the same porch
