If you open the link you will see the price is indeed 75k, and not 7.5 lakhs. Lets discuss valuations on the valuation thread please.

yes, you are correct. This seems to be a Fake ad. Millicentos were made only in 1954/1955 and then in 1958(Fiat 1100 badged as Millicentos)

Sir already featured once before and car is for sale for a long time. If you see the description it says that the owner expects 1 crore for this car. But the other information in the description is not true at all.

An update for all of you. I contacted the owner. He reverted with the information that it is a 1957 Standard 10 and has been sold.

What other details are 'not true at all'? Is it not supercharged? or is it not one of the very few remaining?
I have known this car for a long time and think its a very clean and unique car! Expected price may be High, but thats their desire!

What is not correct to me is that the listing says on top thats its a 1970 model and then in the description it says 1957.

It is indeed the only 57 Supercharged Golden Hawk in India. The Calcutta car is a 1956 Golden Hawk and naturally aspirated.

Both cars are almost identical except for minor trim changes and the supercharger.

The Golden Hawk in Poona is a fantastic car. The one in Calcutta is not a patch on it, although I knew her, and from very close quarters at that, when she was in pristine condition; decades before Mr. Sircar (Indrojit's father) acquired her from the demolition man. Even in her prime she couldn't compare with the supercharged '57 model (and if she's a '57 400, then even lesser so).

The Poona and Cal car today are like Hawk and Heese, sorry I meant chalk and cheese. And Mr. Sircar junior could learn to ignore innocent oversights like the wrong model year of 1970 entered in the advert. And if a car like this has been 'on sale for a long time' so be it, she deserves to be sold well (although I'm not even getting into at what price, and all that - totally seller's and buyer's prerogative as I've always maintained). I hope Indrojit is at least happy that are lots of pictures posted in the ad!

Here's another link, Amol. Makes for interesting study, purely academic for us here in India, can't be used empirically, I suppose, where there's next-to-zero supply!

Auction results and data for 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk (Model 56J) | Conceptcarz.com

Don't miss the range of valuation given for the '57 Goldie. In my opinion it just shows how difficult it is even in an evolved classic car market to really pin it down. Condition-rating can not be totally objective, IMO. And then, what the bidder had for breakfast might have a bearing, as also what he's been having for dessert!!
