Any Beetle or a Mercedes Benz W123 (auto) available at resonable price?

Don't want to pay any unreasonable price as pointed out by some of our friends in earlier replies. Wher in Goa can one find the old golden beauties?

If thats original it is also a cost saving measure. The headlights are stand alone units and are not embedded into the front mudguards.
Likewise the Landmaster originally sold as the Morris Oxford Series II in the U.K., had a trimmed down version badged Cowley. This one did not have several trims and the cabin heater too.The seats had coir below the upholstery. Whereas , the Oxford was the upmarket version with foam seats, trims and a heater. Our Indian Landmaster is the Oxford sans the heater.
So mean to say that the British cars of yore too had economy versions to save costs.

Hello Mole / Samsag ( Sagar ) ,

I still do not have a woody , it is a similar Morris van to the car MSZ 9985 pictured above . My car was bought in as is where is condition ( the photographs were there in the threads ) for Rs 35,000 + transport.

No comments regarding the asking price for MSZ 9985 - some may find it attractive , some may think it outrageous - if so do not buy it.

Regards
Chauhan

@ anjan: (Morris Van 1947) Thanks for the info, very informative. I wish I had that kind of money. She seems to be a well maintained car.

@Vintageman: What's the update on your car? Where can we see more pics of her?

Wow!! Thats a lot. I never knew there was an Ensign III. Seen and know about the I and II. Every Ensign I have seen has been pretty orignal so far. 1 lac, it that for III bikes? hehe

What a pity about that Mercedes, dieselised. Body looks quite sound. A worthy project to be reconverted. Glass should not be a problem, can even be imported. This is one of the most prestigious Mercedes models made, elegant, clean lines, and sophisticated.

Cheers harit
